Welcome to the Mackinac Island App privacy policy notes!

We provide a self-guided audio tour of Mackinac Island on your mobile phone. At Mackinac Island App “MI app,” “we,” “us” or “our”), we are committed to ensuring and protecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy provides a detailed explanation as to how we may use your personal information provided to us or any personal information we collect through legal means. Updates of our Privacy Policy may be completed frequently. If we make changes, we will change the date at the top of the policy, thus we encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

    • If you receive emails from MI app, we may collect behavioral data, such as opening, reading, clicking through, forwarding, response to promotions,
      subscribe or unsubscribe, preferences and other email behavior;
    • The app may collect certain information automatically, such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address
      of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the app;
    • Information about the location of your device. This app collects precise information about the location of your device. It tracks your path, the places
      you visited, the pictures, videos, you made and your interactions with the user interface. We use your location information to provide requested location
      services, and learn your travel habits to provide you with tailor-made offers based on your requirements. We also use this information to share it with
      third parties for their independent use; and
    • We may also obtain information from other sources (e.g., social media, third-party partners).
    • Service is not intended for children under 13 years old and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

IF YOU FAIL TO PROVIDE PERSONAL DATA

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

STORING AND PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We store our gathered information and will do our best to keep it secure.
We process personal information on our servers in many countries around the world. We may process your personal information on a server located outside the country where you live or travel. We take all reasonable processes to ensure your data is secure and in agreement with our Privacy Policy as outlined here. We use secured servers to ensure proper data storage. All communication containing personal information is kept encrypted for safety measures.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as you have an account with the Application. If you decide to delete your account with the Application then we will delete the data we process about you.

NO FEE USUALLY REQUIRED

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

      interests of our users in the aggregate and also on a personal level to better understand your interests and needs, so we can improve our products and
      services and deliver to you the type of content, features, and promotions that you are most interested in;
